I took this random photo of my daughter on our way back from the World Science Fiction Convention in Chicago this weekend. We'd had a really long wonderful day and Anyaugo was too tired and irritated to look at the camera. When I looked at photo later, I laughed. It reminded me of something very specific.
Then a friend of mine (illustrator/professor John Jennings) flipped it (he has more of an eye for these things) and the similarities really came through.
Look! Sweet serendipity. It's that same moody look that little girls get on their faces when they are deep in thought and want to be left alone:
